This is the flat low restriction "Race Style" exhaust port gasket and is "Leak Proof".
These exhaust gaskets are a flat-woven stainless steel design that does not compress into the exhaust port, improving flow out of the head into the exhaust header pipe.
**These are also designed to work with the new spherical exhaust port.
Made of a knitted stainless steel wire mesh.
It has added carbon/graphite for strength and fill which is compressed to a 1/8" thick gasket.
